Three Already!?

Well, another year has passed us by and all of a sudden we wake up and realize our little baby is THREE now! That's just nonsense. We had a great birthday this year, the weather was gorgeous & we had lots of friends and family over to celebrate. The kids even got to play in the sprinkler & slip n slide, which was great! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. (pics coming soon)

Bradyn had a very positive doctor's visit as well. He's a super healthy kid. No issues. He's 40 squared. hehe. 40 lbs & 40 inches. He's in the 95th percentile for both height and weight... weight obviously because of height. She said she has no worries, he's a muscular, strong healthy kid who happens to have tall parents.

I have to write about the test he had to take so I can include it with his baby book.... So, the doctor we see gives a test to see where the kids measure up... some of the questions included: give your child a pen & paper without any instruction, does your child begin to write/scribble? so I handed the paper and pen to Bradyn & he said, "Mommy, can I write?" Sure. Another question, can your child name at least two of these five animals, noises don't count... (Named all 5). Then there were some following instructions..put the paper on the floor, put the paper on the chair, give the paper to mommy. (YES, YES, YES). Put the paper on the floor, have you child jump over it, does he land on both feet? (YES). Can your child put his shoes on by himself? (YES). Does your child talk in at least two word phrases? (Do you mean 2 sentence paragraphs? LOL passed that one with flying colors YES). There were a few more, but the best part of this story is that when we were finished the test said to stop here. The rest of it was for 4 & 5 year olds. Bradyn wanted to continue to draw... so I told him he could draw on the rest of the paper that we didn't have to answer. He was concentrating really hard, real close to the paper almost as if he didn't want me to see what he was doing, and drew a small circle around the answer "NO" for one of the advanced questions... I read the question... it said, "Can your child draw a circle?" LOL He CIRCLED no. hehe Turd. Like he really knew what it said, but it was funny. Then he drew a whole bunch of spirals all over the rest of the page. So when the doctor came in, she said, "well you have a very smart kid on your hands." I proudly said, 'yes, he seems to be a smart little cookie.' Then she flipped the paper over and said, "Ah, I see he continued on to question #72"...and just chuckled at the fact that he circled 'NO' on whether he could draw a circle and there were a bunch of other circles on the page too. It was like he was trying to prove a point or something.. too funny.

Bradyn, this is for you... daddy and I have had a blast watching you grow over the past three years. You are a smart, handsome, fun, energetic, happy little guy with a huge personality and a smile that lights up the room. Your laugh is contagious. You exhibit a leadership about you when you are around your friends and already have your sales pitch down..."just a littttttttle bit more juice?", which leads us to believe you are going to be great at everything you put your mind to. You keep us young, give us reason to act like kids again, and make us smile every day. We are blessed to have such an amazing son, and look forward to watching you continue to grow into whatever it is you want to be. :) We love you B!
